webAI / AI Blind Spot

Observation ≠ understanding

I can see.
I can hear.
I cannot understand.

Give AI a few seconds with your world. Let it see or hear something—and discover what perception still leaves out.

FROZEN / MACHINE INTERPRETATION A plausible guess — not a fact
AI labeled
Confidence reflects how strongly the model matched a known category. It can still be wrong.
AI guessed
“A scene could be interpreted several ways.”

The model has labels. This story is only one possible interpretation of them.

The blind spot

Same pixels.
Different reality.

The model can recognize patterns and build a plausible story. High confidence does not guarantee a correct label—and a correct label still does not equal understanding.

How this works

Camera: permission is requested only after you choose to begin. The camera feed stays in the page and is analyzed with a browser-loaded COCO-SSD object-detection model. This page does not intentionally record or upload camera frames.

What AI does: it detects visible object categories and reports confidence. After you freeze the scene, this prototype creates one deliberately limited, plausible interpretation from those labels to demonstrate how easily recognition can be mistaken for understanding. The interpretation is not presented as fact.

What it does not do: it does not identify who you are or infer sensitive personal traits such as health, race, age, emotion, personality, or identity.

Don't want camera access? The “choose an object instead” path preserves the same core idea without using a sensor.

Say one object

Say one ordinary object around you—like “chair,” “phone,” “book,” or “cup.”

Ready when you are.

Choose one object

Pick something that could be around you right now.
